Overview
Based in Sydney, the Account Executive will manage sales and relationships with existing and new Genetec customers (Certified System Integrators), technology partners, consultants, and end users in the assigned territory. The main objective is to increase revenues and ensure regular communication with the APAC team and the corporate office in Montreal, Canada.
Responsibilities
* Support Regional sales managers to develop the assigned sales territory for company products
* Discover and track opportunities, follow up and distribute leads to partners
* Visit Customers/partners/consultants at their premises
* Manage forecasts and achieve quotas
* Identify customer needs, respond to RFIs, RFQs, prepare quotes and write proposals
* Coordinate and facilitate communication with Customers and MRs
* Monitor and report satisfaction levels from customers, integrators, consultants
* Coordinate customer, integrator, consultant training
* Update and maintain data in CRM or other applications
* Acquire, maintain, and report adequate knowledge of product, market, and competition
* Stay abreast of the products, applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through reading relevant literature and consulting with marketing and technical services
More about you
* Min 5 years of experience in a sales role with a focus on technology or security solutions
* Demonstrated experience delivering structured presentations with clear agendas, relevant case studies, and credible data points
* Ability to handle objections confidently and maintain audience engagement
* Familiarity with Challenger or consultative sales approaches is desirable
Technical requirements
* Require proven ability to present and position complex security solutions (SaaS, hybrid, on-premises) to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Hands-on experience with access control, video surveillance, and cloud-based platforms in enterprise environments
* Understanding of integration/migration strategies from legacy systems and device compatibility
* Confidence in discussing local/regional compliance requirements (e.g., SOCI Act, ISO standards, data sovereignty) and their impact on solution design
* Ability to relate compliance positioning back to our value proposition
* Strong capability to link technical features to customer business outcomes, supported by industry insights and customer success stories
* Include a live mock presentation and Q&A handling exercise during interviews to assess structure, technical accuracy, and persuasiveness
