* WA's largest private medical imaging provider
* Newly created role reporting to the CIO
* Permanent full-time role – Perth
About us
Perth Radiological Clinic (PRC) is WA's largest private medical imaging provider, with 1,250 staff and over 130 doctors across more than 20 clinics and hospital sites. We deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging services using the latest technology and some of the best medical professionals in the industry.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), you will lead the analysis, definition, and optimisation of business processes, systems, and information flows across PRC.
This is a newly created position, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to help define and shape the BA function at PRC. You will work closely with business units and external vendors to define requirements that translate into practical, well-configured solutions — whether that's a new system implementation, a process redesign, or an operational improvement initiative.
You will also play a key role in shaping how business analysis is practised at PRC — setting standards, mentoring team members, and ensuring our BA function continues to mature.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the development of business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and process documentation for projects and operational initiatives
* Eliciting and defining requirements for vendor-built and vendor-configured solutions, ensuring specifications are clear, complete, and fit for purpose
* Conducting detailed analysis of current-state processes and identifying opportunities for improvement, optimisation, automation, and standardisation
* Facilitating workshops, interviews, and discussions with a wide range of stakeholders to validate and prioritise requirements
* Setting standards and coordinating the work of external business analysts engaged on projects
* Supporting project delivery through planning, scope management, risk identification, and milestone tracking in close partnership with project managers
* Maintaining end-to-end requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle
* Contributing to testing preparation, including test case development, defect review, and solution validation against acceptance criteria
* Assisting with change impact assessments, communications, and training materials for implemented solutions
* Monitoring outcomes of newly implemented processes and systems to ensure benefits are realised
* Supporting issue and incident investigations with structured root cause analysis
* Leading and mentoring business analysis team members, including quality assurance on BA artefacts
About you
We are looking for a senior BA who brings both technical rigour and strong stakeholder instincts. You will be:
* Experienced in end-to-end business analysis, including process mapping, requirements gathering, documentation, and solution evaluation
* Skilled in requirements definition for vendor-delivered solutions — translating business needs into clear specifications for third parties to build or configure
* Confident facilitating workshops and engaging stakeholders at all levels, from operational staff through to executive leadership
* Experienced working within structured project environments including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models
* Able to prepare user stories, acceptance criteria, use cases, and detailed process maps using recognised methodologies
* Familiar with project governance, change management principles, testing cycles, and requirements traceability
* A clear communicator who can bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences
* A collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset and a commitment to lifting BA capability across the organisation
* Educated to degree level in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related discipline
Experience in healthcare, private practice, or a similarly complex multi-site environment will be highly regarded.
We offer:
* A senior role with real scope to influence how business analysis is practised across a large, complex organisation
* Exposure to a diverse project portfolio spanning clinical systems, operational processes, and digital transformation
* A supportive team environment with strong leadership backing
* Paid parental leave and other generous leave benefits
* Corporate discounts on health insurance, retail, and lifestyle services
* Subsidised parking available
* Flexible working arrangements in a professional and dynamic workplace
