Scientist Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled professional to work in our laboratory as a scientist. This role involves applying scientific judgment and knowledge to analyze patient specimens, verify test results, and provide advice to the clinical unit when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
* Apply independent scientific judgment in the analysis of patient specimens.
* Verify and validate test results.
* Provide advice to the clinical unit when appropriate.
* Work on a continuous shift arrangement, including weekends and public holidays.
* Initiate and/or contribute to the development of scientific practices, procedures, protocols, and research activities.
* Apply high-level knowledge, skills, and experience to multi-specialist duties with minimal supervision out of hours.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A tertiary degree qualification in Medical Laboratory Science from a recognized institution.
* Demonstrated knowledge and skill in diagnostic testing and clinical interpretation within a multidisciplinary laboratory.
* The ability to participate in a team and contribute diagnostic skills relevant to the discipline.
