The Women's and Children's Health Network seeks a highly skilled Virtual Maternity Care Specialist to join their team. This exciting opportunity allows you to provide real-time virtual midwifery support and clinical advice to regional and rural midwives during after-hours periods.

As a Virtual Maternity Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality virtual maternity care services, working effectively within a multidisciplinary team, and prioritizing workload to meet set timelines.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver real-time virtual midwifery support and clinical advice to regional and rural midwives during after-hours periods.
* Coordinate emergency response to obstetric and neonatal emergencies within the Women's and Babies Division.
* Conduct case reviews to provide guidance and support to midwives in isolated settings.
* Collect, maintain, and analyze data to assess service effectiveness and identify areas for service improvement.
* Participate in audits and quality assurance processes to monitor outcomes and recommend service enhancements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
* Effective communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to prioritize workload and meet set timelines while working under minimal supervision.
* Registered Midwife with at least 3 years post-registration experience.
* Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of midwifery.
* Proficient with Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
