Located in Coldstream at the entrance to the beautiful Yarra Valley, the Victorian Animal Aid Trust (Animal Aid) has been part of the local community since 1935. Over that time, we have welcomed, nurtured and rehomed thousands of lost, unwanted and vulnerable animals.
A rare opportunity has become available for an experienced receptionist to join our dedicated team. This is a varied, people-focused role that sits at the heart of daily life at Animal Aid. Working in a shelter environment is incredibly rewarding. Many people only realise the full impact once they become part of it.

This position plays an important part in our broader animal welfare mission. You will work alongside passionate staff and volunteers across areas including shelter operations, boarding, grooming services, dog training, retail, fundraising and community engagement.
We are looking for someone who:
* Brings genuine warmth and empathy when assisting people and animals
* Enjoys working with the community and thrives in a team environment
* Communicates clearly and professionally
* Has experience in an animal-related setting (desirable)
* Can stay organised and calm in a busy environment
* Contributes to a positive, open and respectful workplace
* Must have permanent Australian work rights
* Desirable: Candidates with 1-2 years+ of reception or customer service experience
