As an Operator & Maintainer to the Australian Federal and NSW governments, Parklife Metro is leading a transformative metro project connecting St Marys to Bradfield, linking with the new Western Sydney Airport.
The Parklife Metro (PLM) consortium, made up of Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild, is delivering the Stations, Systems, Trains and Operations & Maintenance (SSTOM) package of works for the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport (SM-WSA) project.
RDWSA will proudly operate and maintain 6 new stations, 12 metro trains, core rail systems, and a state-of-the-art stabling and maintenance facility at Orchard Hills on the Western Sydney Airport metro line for 15 years after the line has become operational.
We are seeking a Financial Accountant to play a key role in supporting both this project and RATDev Australia (our Australian headquarters, providing corporate and operational support).
About The Role
This role provides end-to-end financial management across the business, ensuring accurate reporting, solid internal controls, and compliance with statutory requirements. You will gain exposure to a major project while contributing to the wider finance function and corporate compliance activities. Key responsibilities may include:
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., AASB).
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
- Manage end-of-month and end-of-year closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with taxation laws and assist with BAS, GST, FBT, and income tax returns.
- Support the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of budgets and forecasts.
- Assist with cash flow management and financial performance analysis.
- Prepare management and stakeholder financial reports.
- Liaise with auditors and support financial audits.
- Implement improvements to financial systems and internal processes.
- Monitor and maintain internal controls and financial procedures.
- Manage workers’ compensation insurance requirements.
- Perform other ad hoc finance and compliance tasks as required.
About You

You Are a Finance Professional With Experience In Project And Corporate Finance, Capable Of Managing Multiple Priorities While Ensuring Compliance And Accurate Reporting. You Are Confident Working Across Both Project-specific And Wider Business Finance Functions, And You Thrive In a Collaborative Environment. You Will Bring
- 3–5 years’ experience in a finance/accounting role, ideally in project-based environments.
- Knowledge of accounting, statutory reporting, and tax requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, Xero).
- Experience with internal controls and financial processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CA preferred.
- Strong planning, organisation, and communication skills.
- “Can-do” attitude, attention to detail, and team player.
