Moreton Hire is a leading provider of event and exhibition solutions, recognised for our innovative approach and commitment to excellence. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a motivated Accountant/Financial Analyst to join our friendly and dynamic team.
About the Role:
Do you thrive in a small team? Based at our Rochedale office, in the heart of Brisbane's south,
this is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on career finance professional starting out in their career. You'll gain hands-on experience across a variety of finance functions and work closely with our wider team to assist them in all finance related activities. A strong foundation in accounting and financial analysis is preferred.
Responsibilities:
* Daily cashbook management and banking tasks
* Assist with month-end processing and preparation of financial reports
* Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
* Prepare taxation returns (GST, FBT, Payroll, Income Tax)
* Maintain fixed asset registers and ensure records are up to date
* Perform financial analysis and assist in reporting key insights to management
* Support accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions when needed
* Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations
* Collaborate with various teams to support business operations
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
* This role can be either part-time, or full time
Required Skills:
* At least 2 years' experience in a finance/accounting role preferred
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Effective communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
* Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central or similar ERP systems is a bonus, but not essential
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office programs
