About the Role
This is an opportunity to lead and support a team in delivering exceptional patient administration services.
Key Responsibilities
* To provide direction, guidance, and supervision to team members working in the Allied Health Department.
* To manage the orientation of new team members to the department.
* In collaboration with the Allied Health Manager, to manage the scheduling of the department to maximise activity, focusing on community needs and budget constraints.
* To coordinate outpatient appointments in line with health fund billing rules and guidelines.
* To manage outpatient and private practice billing matrices to ensure accurate and timely billing of outpatients.
* To ensure all outpatients have the appropriate fund check and informed financial consent prior to attendance, auditing and reviewing the informed financial consent process annually.
* To manage debt collection in collaboration with accounts receivable shared services team.
You will have experience in patient administration roles in a coordinator/team leader capacity, preferably within a healthcare environment.
To succeed, you will need to be able to manage resources effectively, meet deadlines, and prioritise workload accordingly.
