Communication system technician (perth)

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Communications Systems Technician to join our client. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a wide range of communication and security systems across various industrial and commercial environments.

Key duties:

- Install, configure, and maintain UHF Base Stations, Mobile, and Portable Radio Equipment
- Set up and support High-Density Microwave Radio Link Systems
- Install and service Data Communications/Transmission Systems, including multiplexers and modems
- Implement and maintain Public Address Equipment in large-scale environments
- Manage and troubleshoot DC Power Systems and associated infrastructure
- Install and support Telephony Systems
- Work with PLC, SCADA, and Telemetry Systems for process control and data acquisition
- Implement and maintain Earthing and Lightning Protection Systems
- Install and maintain Copper Cable Communication Systems
- Deploy and test Optical Fibre Systems and associated network equipment
- Install and configure Commercial or Industrial CCTV Systems
- Set up and manage Analogue and Digital Recording Equipment
- Install and support Video Multiplexing and Control Systems

Key experience requirements:

- ACMA Open Cabler Registration with endorsements in fibre optic, structured and coaxial cabling.
- Relevant trade status or equivalent and possession of, or progress towards, a relevant trade qualification and/ or demonstrated experience in the below listed communication systems.
- Considerable experience and demonstrated ability in the maintenance and fault findings of Communications Systems equipment
