Grimsey's Aquatics is expanding our dedicated team across Tropical Queensland's beautiful Cassowary Coast, and we're looking for a full-time Learn to Swim Instructor / Lifeguard to join us at the Mission Beach Aquatic Centre as well as casual instructors for both Mission Beach and Tully facilities.

About the Role
This is a dynamic, hands-on position combining Learn to Swim Instruction and Pool Lifeguarding duties.
You'll play a key role in ensuring a safe, fun, and positive environment for all patrons — from young children learning to swim, to families enjoying their local pool.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Teaching swimming and water safety lessons to a range of ages and abilities
* Supervising patrons and maintaining a safe aquatic environment
* Assisting with daily pool operations, including water testing and basic maintenance
* Providing exceptional customer service and fostering a positive community atmosphere

About You
We're looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for water safety and community wellbeing.
You'll ideally have:
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
* Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
* AUSTSWIM or Swim Australia Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety qualification
* Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
* Flexible availability, including weekends
Previous experience in swim teaching or lifeguarding is highly regarded, but not essential — training and support will be provided to the right candidate.
