Job Title: Infrastructure Project Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive project manager to lead a major infrastructure upgrade project. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a critical water supply initiative that will benefit communities in our region.
The project involves the construction and upgrade of three major pump stations across Nyngan and Hermidale, including new river intakes, balance tanks, surge vessels, and mechanical and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee cost-effective construction methodologies and identify areas for improvement.
* Monitor project finances and review costs vs. budget to highlight margin impacts.
* Liaise with stakeholders, subcontractors, and teams to resolve technical, commercial, and scheduling issues.
* Understand project scope and identify contractual risks and opportunities.
* Prepare variations, claims, and subcontract agreements.
* Plan procurement activities, organise labour and equipment for supervisors.
* Ensure materials and services meet quality assurance requirements.
* Develop inspection and testing plans, monitor quality control processes, and ensure compliance.
* Assess risks, implement hazard controls, and support incident investigations.
* Promote a strong safety culture through pre-starts and toolbox talks.
* Review environmental procedures before work begins.
* Maintain quality documentation, manage project closeout, and finalize defect claims.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
* 4+ years project management experience in the construction industry, preferably in civil, utilities, and water infrastructure projects.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with people at all levels.
* Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office software and other relevant computer applications.
* Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test.
