Group Account Director / Relationship Director
Expat position based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea
This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role in one of the most dynamic and fast-evolving markets in the South Pacific.
We are seeking an experienced Group Account Director / Relationship Director to lead and grow a well-established operation in Papua New Guinea. This role combines strategic client leadership, commercial growth, and hands-on operational oversight within a high-performing, full-service marketing and advisory environment.
You will inherit a business with strong foundations and play a key role in shaping its next phase of growth. This is a senior, highly visible leadership position with responsibility across client relationships, team leadership, and commercial performance.
This is not a traditional corporate General Manager role. It is hands-on, relationship-driven, and suited to someone who enjoys being close to both clients and execution.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders across multiple regions and play a central role in driving performance and growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead relationships with major corporate clients
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders (CMO, CEO, Board level)
* Ensure high levels of service delivery and client satisfaction
Business Growth
* Identify and convert new business opportunities
* Grow existing accounts through deeper engagement
* Contribute to revenue growth and overall commercial performance
Team & Culture
* Lead and develop a high-performing local team
* Build trust and credibility within a diverse workforce
* Drive performance, capability development, and culture
Operational Oversight
* Ensure smooth day-to-day operations
* Maintain quality across all service lines
* Solve problems quickly in a fast-moving environment
Regional Collaboration
* Work closely with offshore teams
* Align local operations with broader strategy
* Contribute to leadership planning and growth initiatives

About You
* Experience in a marketing agency OR client-side marketing leadership role
* Strong understanding of marketing strategy, campaigns, and delivery
* Experience managing teams and complex client portfolios
* Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders
* Commercially astute and relationship-driven
* Hands-on, adaptable, and solutions-focused
* Comfortable operating in fast-paced, less structured environments
* Resilient with a strong ownership mindset
