We have a 6 month contract for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join our team. As the Finance Business Partner, you will support the Segment leader and Leadership team to drive strategy and optimise performance.
What the day will look like While you play an integral role to support strategic development and investment decision‑making across the firm, your primary responsibilities include understanding the financial performance of the business and ensuring key revenue, cost and operating income drivers are effectively understood, planned, resourced, and achieved.
Business partner & advisor to business leaders and executive teams to enable them to better run their businesses.
Lead and perform the monthly Forecasting, quarterly business reviews and annual budgeting process.
Provide regular financial update to the Board and strategic finance support to the CEO of the JV within Aon.
End to end financial analysis including drivers of revenue, cost, and head count.
Provide timely, accurate and relevant fact-based financial information & commercial insights via value-added reporting.
Continuously develop and implement key performance measures, trend analyses and other operational insights to improve transparency.
Challenge business leaders to fully understand risks and opportunities and strive to optimise performance.
Perform competitor analysis /provide competitor landscape to the business and support with strategic positioning of the business.
Fully contribute to the commercial development of the business, working with the senior management team, external third parties and other collaborators as appropriate.
Critically appraise all cost benefit analysis relating to acquisitions, disposals, capital investments and business development proposals.
Support the development & implementation of effective strategy.
Drive a program of continuous improvement across financial reporting and analysis systems and processes.
Collaborate with Controllership to ensure effective working capital management and compliance with accounting standards.
Assist in coaching and developing junior finance colleagues.

Transformation skills including improvement in execution, standardisation and automation of reporting is requisite.
Ability to perform complex financial analyses (including business cases and investment strategies) and build financial models.
Strong financial foresight including controllership skills and experience to influence Board is requisite.
CPA/CA qualifications preferred with at least 10 years of partnering experience in finance/insurance industry.
The ability to handle, organise and analyse high volume data.
The ability to think commercially, understand business drivers, provide insights, and tell the story behind the numbers.
Ability to shape and inform strategy and decision making and influence stakeholders.
Ability to use financial IT systems to efficiently deliver service. Power BI experience will be highly valued.
Use of AI tools and reasonable AI usage experience in Finance ways of working is key.
