We are seeking two experienced professionals to join the Office of the Chief Scientist & Engineer (OCSE). These roles play a central part in shaping and delivering science and research initiatives that support NSW’s innovation ecosystem and contribute to evidence-based policymaking across government. As Manager, Strategy and Programs, you will lead the development, delivery, and evaluation of key strategic science initiatives. You’ll manage end-to-end projects, from planning and stakeholder engagement to implementation and reporting, working closely with partners in government, academia and industry. You will also contribute to policy advice, lead a small project team, and help build internal capability in program and project delivery. As Manager, Science and Research Policy, you will oversee the administration of science and research grant programs, including the flagship Research Attraction and Acceleration Program (RAAP). You will provide high-quality, evidence-based policy advice, draft complex briefings and reports, and consult with stakeholders across sectors to support research investment and capability in NSW. Both roles sit within the Science and Research team and report to senior leaders within OCSE. You will be working in a fast-paced, high-profile environment where your work directly contributes to building a stronger, more resilient science and innovation landscape in NSW.
