Inspired by the neighborhood’s vibrant rhythm, Ace Sydney is home to a bustling public Lobby alive nearly nightly with DJs and performers, a rebellious art program and sunken lounge just off the Lobby bar. We’ve also got three distinct restaurants led by award-winning culinary pros. Now all we need is you.

The Gig

Ace Hotel Sydney is on the hunt for a commercially minded Sales Leader to drive the hotel’s overarching rooms and events revenue strategy. With 255 guest rooms, award winning dining venues, and a thriving meetings and events scene, this role is central to shaping and executing our growth story. As Director of Sales & Marketing, you will report to the Hotel General Manager and Global VP of Sales, be responsible for planning and delivering both short and long term sales strategies across all market segments and event spaces, nurturing key partnerships, and actively participating in yield and revenue strategies alongside the senior leadership team.

You will have accountability over the Sales and Events teams, with your leadership setting the tone for how we approach customer relationships, internal collaboration, and commercial performance. You will oversee everything from account management and market planning to forecasting, budgeting, reporting, team development, and manage a portfolio of key accounts. This is a sales driven role for someone who thrives on relationship building, data informed decision making, and staying steps ahead of the market. You will also represent Ace at trade shows, client events, and industry gatherings, and must be available to travel, entertain clients, and work flexibly across the week to accommodate time zones and key stakeholder needs.

About You

* You have led sales teams in hospitality and know what it takes to inspire high performance
* Minimum three years of experience as a leader of teams as a DOS or DOSM with a proven track record of hitting KPIs and growing market share
* Strategic thinker with a hands on approach to leadership and mentorship
* Exceptionally strong communicator and collaborator who brings people together and drives results
* Deep knowledge of key market segments including Group, MICE, Consortia, Corporate, and wholesale along with channel strategy
* Experienced in managing budgets, forecasting, and using tools like Delphi, Amadeus, OTA Insight, and Opera
* Well connected in the industry and naturally builds rapport with partners and stakeholders
* Comfortable with flexible working hours and travel and understand that this role goes beyond the typical workday
* Strong understanding of brand, positioning, and the link between storytelling and sales
* Enthusiastic, curious, and always looking for ways to improve, grow, and bring others along with you
