We are excited to offer a 10-month contract to the best suited applicant part time at 60.8hrs per fortnight. To be successful you will apply increasingly independent scientific judgement in the analysis of patient specimens leading to the verification and validation of test results and the provision of advice to the clinical unit where appropriate

Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
* Demonstrated knowledge, expertise and skill in the delivery of scientific judgement within a multidisciplinary laboratory.
* Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrated ability to apply established principles to a multidisciplinary service with provision of results and clinical advice in a client focused manner.
* Demonstrated ability (or ability to rapidly acquire the skill) to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities in accordance with NATA/ISO accreditation/certification.
Qualifications, registrations and other requirements
* The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) formal qualification (s) in medical laboratory science.
* Shift conditions (will be required to work a rotating roster of day, evening and night shifts over a 7 day period).
* Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/ manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties
* Please detail any visa conditions you may have if you are not a permanent resident of Australia.
