Due to winning a new major long term contracts, we are currently looking to expand our Maintenance Administration team to include a full time Wagon Administrator.
This position will require the successful candidate to plan and coordinate maintenance tasks and associated activities for our Rollingstock assets, in particular our fleet of 800+ owned and operated freight wagons.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Identify and prioritise wagon maintenance works required.
• Coordination of rotables and parts for maintenance works.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance works, including;
* Liaise with internal management to arrange for access to wagons
* Arrange workshops and workshop staff availability
* Coordinate external services including cranes, trucks, protection officers etc.
• Ensure maintenance works are conducted in accordance with existing Safety Management System, and Quality and Compliance Systems.
• Review associated paperwork and records for accuracy and compliance.
• Reporting and communication of regular updates of maintenance works to Management.
• Contribute to continuous improvement.
The successful applicant must demonstrate the following key requirements:
* Prior administration experience
* Mechanically minded
* Prior maintenance planning experience highly regarded
* Rail industry experience highly regarded
* Experience in problem solving and identifying improvements
* Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
* Effective communication skills both written and verbal
* Quality focused with a high degree of attention to detail
* Commitment to a safety culture and have a can-do customer focus
* Professionalism, integrity, reliability and a positive attitude
* Hold a current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
