About the role
We're searching for experienced and compassionate Home Care Support Workers to assist older clients in the community. You'll play a key role in helping clients remain independent in their own homes, supporting their dignity, safety, and quality of life. We have shifts available based on client demand, Monday – Friday, 6am – 6pm.
Duties will include:
* Providing personal care support such as showering, grooming, and personal hygiene
* Supporting with meal preparation, household cleaning, laundry, and ironing
* Assisting with shopping, medical appointments, and social outings
* Monitoring and reporting any changes in a client's health or behaviour, escalating concerns to ensure safety
* Delivering care in line with individual Care Plans and maintaining accurate documentation
* Travelling between client homes within your local service area including Mona Vale, Narrabeen, Dee Why, Frenches Forrest, Manly
Skills and Requirements
* Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance is mandatory.
* Certificate III, IV or Diploma in Aged Care, Home Care, Disability, or related field.
* Current First Aid Certificate.
* Clear verbal communication skills to engage effectively with older clients
* Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
* Reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to delivering high‐quality care.
* Flexibility in hours and approach, with availability aligned to client needs.
* Ability to review and accurately document care plans.
* Experience using mobility aids and assisting with client hoisting (advantageous).
