Are you a proven senior leader with a background working with senior stakeholders who enjoys enhancing service delivery and uplifting the capability of others? Are you looking for a new role where you can be strategic and make your mark? If this sounds like you, then our Head of Sourcing and Contracts Management role could be just what you’ve been looking for.
Reporting to the Director, Business Strategy and Operations (CFO), this newly created senior management role will lead our procurement, facilities and fleet teams. You’ll have two direct reports (a Senior Procurement Officer and Senior Facilities & Fleet Officer) who lead their own teams and provide services across EPA.
Within the first 12 months, you can expect to:
1. Implement our existing strategy to enhance how procurement and contract management is undertaken at EPA
2. Uplift capability within the team to provide more partnering level services in procurement, ensuring consistent delivery of services throughout EPA
3. Lead improved strategic outcomes through EPA’s contract and partnership arrangements, providing advice on how we can get the most ‘value for money’
4. Review our current operational processes to maximise effectiveness and efficiency, ensuring adequate risk mitigation strategies are in place
5. Understand and be the owner for tracking our carbon emissions, including implementing the EPA’s carbon emissions reduction roadmap.
About You
With a proven background in procurement and contract management, preferably within government environments, you’ll be confident working with senior stakeholders to achieve outcomes. We’re also looking for:
6. Demonstrated senior leadership and management abilities within procurement and preferably with VGPB guidelines
7. Demonstrated experience leading facilities and fleet functions, preferably within a government agency
8. Demonstrated accountability for the execution and quality of results
9. Demonstrated experience managing a high standard of practice through governance and risk management
10. Ability to be agile, flexible and effectively deal with competing priorities
