AV Engineer North Sydney ASAP start $40-$50 per hour Our client is prestigious institution looking for an AV Engineer who will be responsible for the design, implementation, support, and ongoing improvement of their Audio-Visual (AV) and multimedia infrastructure. Working collaboratively with the IT Department, internal staff, and external vendors, the AV Engineer ensures reliable and future-ready AV systems. We are looking for someone to start immediately on a temporary position but there is the potential for this role to extend or become a permanent opportunity for the right person. Role responsibilities Design, document, and implement AV system architecture Coordinate AV hardware and software upgrades to align with evolving technical requirements. Oversee AV infrastructure projects, including installations, refreshes, and relocation's. Collaborate with the IT Manager to ensure AV systems integrate seamlessly with the broader IT infrastructure. Manage and maintain AV network configurations and media server technologies (e.g. streaming systems). Deliver Tier 2 and 3 technical supports for AV hardware (projectors, speakers, microphones, cameras, control systems). Troubleshoot venue AV setups, resolving issues related to signal flow, connectivity, and device configuration. Maintain event readiness by supporting end-to-end AV setup and tear down. Maintain a rigorous asset management process including annual audits and preventative maintenance schedules. Capture, edit, and distribute digital content for communications. Manage the cataloguing and archiving of AV content to meet copyright and curriculum compliance. Support staff in selecting, using, and embedding multimedia resources into teaching practices. Facilitate the use of AV content platforms, ensuring ease of access and consistent formatting. Deliver training to staff on AV system use, classroom technologies, and content creation tools. Provide support to enable use of AV tools for projects and presentations. Coordinate with staff to integrate AV solutions that enhance engagement. Requirements Previous experience as an AV Technician/Engineer Confident knowledge of technical architecture and AV solutions Strong communication skills and organisational skills Ability to start quickly and have full working rights
