About the Role
North East Arnhem Land Aboriginal Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaper to join our team in Gove. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about soft and hard landscaping, delivering high-quality work, and contributing to meaningful outcomes in our local communities.
Qualifications & experience
* Minimum Certificate III in Horticulture with experience in landscape construction
* Equipment experience and tickets for trenching, digging, and forming landscaping projects
* Strong leadership skills and experience supervising teams
* Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with diverse cultures
* Physically fit, with a strong "can-do" attitude
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Knowledge of tree and plant species and their care and maintenance
* Strong mechanical skills
* Working with Children Check or the ability to obtain
* Ability to assess and complete tasks as they arise
* Reliable with a strong work ethic
Tasks & responsibilities
* Running a team of workers and ensure that tasks are completed on time and to the required standards (professional outcomes)
* Design, cost, and prepare quotes for landscaping projects
* Perform horticultural tasks such as planting, pruning, and garden maintenance
* Undertake hardscape construction: pavers, driveways, retaining walls, pergolas, andsimilar structures
* Plan and construct irrigation and drainagesystems
* Plan and lay turf for a range of projects
* Work remotely on landscaping projects as required
* Complete all tasks safely and in compliance with N.E.A.L
* Ensure that all tasks are undertaken safely and within N.E.A.L's safety standards
* Completing administrative tasks, such as providing quote, maintaining records and submitting reports
