**About the role**
Our team is growing as a result of exciting new opportunities and growing demand. We are now seeking an early career to intermediate Environmental Consultant who has a desire to continue to learn and develop their skills by helping to deliver a wide variety of EIA projects for the renewables, mining, infrastructure, government and defence sectors in WA. Our key services in demand for the WA environment team are due diligence assessments, environmental studies, environmental impact assessment and approvals, compliance and auditing, sustainability and environmental management of operations.
You will work within a team of about 30 environmental, ecology, social, and spatial consultants in our WA office on the South Perth foreshore, and have opportunities to work with our national team of about 280 environmental approvals, ecology, social, archaeology and heritage, noise and water specialists.
**About you**
We are looking for an enthusiastic Environmental Scientist, Planner or Consultant who is looking to develop their project management and technical skills in delivering a range of environmental consulting projects. You will have:
- A degree/post graduate qualification in environmental science, planning or related discipline
- 1-3 years of relevant experience working within the consulting/environmental fields (will consider highly-motivated recent graduates)
- Willingness to undertake a range of technical work based on project requirements
- Interest and aptitude in working across multiple disciplines
- A strong appetite to learn, grow from feedback and help other members of the team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain positive team and client relationships
- Organised, motivated and self-directed
- Some demonstrated knowledge of WA and/or Commonwealth planning and environmental legislation is desirable
