Payroll Specialist – Bookkeeping & CFO Services
We're working with a growing professional services firm looking to add an experienced Payroll Specialist to their Bookkeeping & CFO Services team. This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing across a diverse portfolio, with strong support and a collaborative team culture.
About the role
In this role, you'll manage payroll services for multiple clients, handle queries, and ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery. You'll own your workflow, build strong client relationships, and deliver a consistently high standard of service.
Key responsibilities
* End-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of clients
* Reconciliation of wages, superannuation and leave balances
* Regular processing and review of superannuation
* Responding to client queries within agreed timeframes
* Maintaining accurate payroll records and reviewing data for errors
* Building strong working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
* Supporting continuous improvement of systems and processes
* Participating in team meetings, training, and professional development
About you
* Minimum 2 years' experience in payroll processing
* Strong knowledge of Australian payroll, superannuation and leave entitlements
* Confident working across payroll and accounting systems (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks or similar)
* Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
* High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality
* Able to manage deadlines in a busy, client-facing environment
* Self-motivated, organised and comfortable working autonomously
