Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Café and Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurants.
The role is responsible for managing staff, maintaining service standards, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and driving operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and oversee day-to-day operations of the café and restaurant
to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining quality food,
beverage, and service standards.
- Manage recruitment, training, rostering, and supervision of staff to ensure
adequate coverage and performance.
- Lead and motivate staff to maintain professional standards of service,
appearance, and workplace morale.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and maintain supplier relationships to
ensure adequate inventory.
- Monitor and control operational costs to ensure adherence to budgetary
requirements
- Manage staff timesheets and submit them to HR for payroll processing
- Implement and monitor compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and regulatory
requirements.
- Handle customer feedback and complaints promptly and professionally to
maintain positive client relationships.
- Liaise with directors and head office regarding menu development, promotional
activities, and business planning.
- Conduct regular staff performance reviews and ongoing training to support
professional development.
- Ensure the cleanliness, presentation, and functionality of dining and service
areas.
- Manage opening and closing procedures, including accurate table management,
billing, and reporting systems. Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field, supported by
3–5 years of relevant management experience.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage
multiple priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a professional and
customer-focused manner.
- Proven ability to manage and resolve staff and customer issues effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high service standards.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage budgets, control costs, and achieve financial
