Position Information
Chifley College Senior Campus is a comprehensive, co-educational secondary school situated on the lands of the Dharug people. The school caters for Stage 6 students, focusing on preparing them for the Higher School Certificate, further training and employment. It is one of five campuses of Chifley College. The school features 7 support classes. The student population of 570 is culturally and linguistically diverse. 29% of students have English as an Additional Language or Dialect while 24% of students are from Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander backgrounds and 31% are from Pasifika background. Chifley College Senior Campus enjoys strong partnerships with the local AECG, universities, businesses and local community groups. The Senior Campus maintains a commitment to quality teaching, meeting individual needs, careers, transitions and supports positive post school pathways.
Selection Criteria
* Approval and/or willingness to teach students with learning and support needs (secondary) and/or experience teaching students with learning and support needs (secondary) in regular classes. Capacity to provide specialist assistance to students with additional learning and support needs and their teachers in regular classes.
* Knowledge and capacity to collaboratively plan, implement, monitor and evaluate personalised learning and support plans for students with a range of learning needs that support improved educational outcomes.
* Highly developed interpersonal, administration, communication and organisational skills to build positive relationships with teachers, school support staff, students and parents.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
