 
        
        MEGT, in partnership with a leading upholstery specialist, are seeking a 1st Year Upholstery Apprentice! 
This is an exciting chance to kickstart your career in a creative, hands-on trade. You'll work with a supportive team, learning how to restore and create quality pieces for healthcare, hospitality, and retail centres. From working with fabrics and leathers to shaping foams and frames, you'll gain the skills to turn ideas into finished products that people use every day. If you're ready for a fresh new opportunity and enjoy working with your hands, this is the perfect way to begin your career in upholstery. 
The Opportunity 
Your duties will include. 
- Create, repair, and reupholster furniture for healthcare, hospitality, and retail environments.
- Select, measure, and cut durable materials such as vinyl, polyester blends, and specialty fabrics.
- Custom design and fit new upholstery pieces to meet client specifications.
- Restore and refurbish existing items for restaurants, offices, and hospitals.
- Operate hand tools, sewing machines, and cutting equipment safely and accurately.
- Maintain upholstery pieces through regular repairs, cleaning, and adjustments to extend product life.

- A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn
- Punctual, reliable, and motivated with a strong work ethic
- Great attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- A valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- White Card (desirable, but not essential)
- Commitment to safe work practices
