The Kardinia Park Stadium Trust (KPST) manages GMHBA Stadium, a multi-purpose venue that hosts over 45 events each year, with over 300,000 visiting the stadium annually. The stadium is an icon of Geelong, the home of the Geelong Football Club and hosts an array of events. These have recently included Big Bash Cricket, International Cricket and Soccer, A-League Soccer, NRL, local football finals, community events such as the Festival of Sport and entertainment events such as international concerts and motorsport. GMHBA Stadium was recently voted Australia's Best Regional Stadium, and its recent major redevelopment now incorporates the Geelong Sports Museum and the Barwon Regional Cricket Centre.
We are seeking a highly capable, strategic and at the same time hands on Senior Manager - Governance and Compliance to join our small but mighty team in a key leadership role. This position is central to the governance of KPST and contributes significantly to the organisation's integrity and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the General Manager – Corporate Services and Major Projects, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex compliance obligations, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, and providing expert advice across a range of governance and compliance matters. The role involves leading the development and delivery of training and communications, conducting ongoing compliance assurance reviews, and ensuring that strategic and operational policies are regularly reviewed and updated in line with guidance from the State Government and its departments. The Senior Manager- Governance and Compliance will also support the maintenance of the risk management and integrity framework, oversee the timely completion of attestations and reporting to the Trust and its subcommittees, as well as to external bodies including the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR), the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF), and other relevant authorities. In addition, the role encompasses oversight of key governance areas such as business resilience and procurement, ensuring that these functions align with best practice and regulatory expectations.
