Austal is seeking experienced Painters/Blasters with an industrial or automotive background to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, supportive environment within the maritime industry.
What's Involved
* Blast operations using garnet abrasive.
* Use of dry and wet film thickness gauges.
* Confined space blasting and painting activities.
* Qualifications to work from Elevated Work Platforms (EWP).
* Ability to follow application processes to meet specified thickness standards.
You'll Need
* A valid Construction Safety Induction (White Card).
* Spray-painting skills using conventional and airless systems.
* Knowledge of various paint products.
* Ability to perform stripe coating with brush and roller.
* Strong focus on safety and awareness.
* Competency in using power tools and paint/blasting equipment safely.
* Shipyard experience is an advantage.
