What you willdo as
the
Assistant Director WHSand Wellbeing
Lead a small team of passionate WHS professionals to safeguardemployee wellbeing through compliance with relevant legislationand proactive and reactive WHS support.
Managesystems, policies and procedures to minimise hazards andincidents.
Identify and managekey strategic projects to assist the ACCC in maintaininglegislative compliance.
Represent the ACCCand manage the relationship with key stakeholders.
Provideadvice and support to managers and employees on their WHSobligations and injury managementresponsibilities.
Aboutyou
In orderto succeed in the role, you will have:
demonstratedexperience leading a small team of WHS professionals in a fastpaced, high volume and complex people centredorganisation.
expertunderstanding of WHS and wellbeing policies, practices andlegislation.
demonstratedability to interpret and apply WHS legislation, regulations,codes of practice, policy and procedures in theAPS.
demonstrated skilland experience in research and analysis to identify, addressand report on complex WHS risks.
demonstratedunderstanding and experience in the identification andmanagement of workplace hazards (including psychosocialhazards) and identification, implementation and monitoring ofcontrols.
experience andunderstanding of ADDRESS, the APS model for responding topsychosocial hazards.
strong written andoral communication skills including the ability to negotiatewith and influence key stakeholders.
