About the role
We're looking for a senior copywriter with strong experience in both traditional SEO and the fast-evolving world of generative search.
This role is ideal for someone who combines sharp editorial instincts with commercial thinking and search expertise. You'll create performance-driven content across a diverse client portfolio, while helping shape how brands show up across both search engines and AI-powered discovery platforms.
Working closely with our SEO team and other writers, you'll develop content that is strategic, insightful and on-brand — from long-form editorial and landing pages through to product copy, email campaigns and lead generation assets.
Day to day you'll:
* Write high-quality SEO and GEO-optimised content across a range of formats, including editorial, landing pages, website copy, email campaigns and lead generation assets
* Develop strategic content briefs informed by keyword research, search intent, competitor analysis and emerging generative search opportunities
* Work closely with SEO specialists and internal teams to identify opportunities to grow organic visibility across traditional search engines and AI-powered platforms
* Optimise content for discoverability across platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini and AI Overviews using clear structure, entity optimisation and strong content architecture
* Review and refine AI-assisted content outputs, checking facts and strengthening quality, accuracy and credibility
* Analyse content performance using SEO and analytics tools to improve rankings, traffic and engagement
* Maintain high editorial standards across all outputs, including auditing and editing existing content for accuracy, performance and brand consistency
* Develop tone of voice and messaging guidelines where needed
* Help improve content workflows, templates and ways of working to deliver greater efficiency and value
* Experiment with new formats, AI-assisted workflows and emerging SEO/GEO tactics to keep clients ahead of changes in search behaviour
* Provide editorial guidance and feedback to junior writers and freelancers where required
We're looking for someone who:
* Has 5+ years' experience in copywriting, content marketing or a similar role
* Has strong experience creating SEO-led content and a solid grasp of on-page optimisation, keyword research and search intent
* Understands the emerging GEO/search landscape and how content can perform across AI-powered platforms
* Is a versatile writer who can move confidently across different formats, audiences and industries
* Can balance creativity with commercial thinking and performance outcomes
* Is comfortable working with AI-assisted workflows, while applying strong editorial judgement and critical thinking
* Has excellent research skills and can quickly get to grips with client brands, audiences and sectors
* Is highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple briefs and deadlines
* Enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams across SEO, PPC, CRO, Data and Studio
* Communicates clearly and brings a high level of care to detail, quality and brand consistency
