Overview
At the Melbourne Sports Institute we are committed to creating excellence in sport and to ensuring the safety and well being of children. We are seeking experienced and passionate casual Basketball Referees for interschool sports programs in private schools across all areas of Melbourne.
Responsibilities
* Officiate interschool basketball games for Junior to Senior First teams.
* Maintain fairness, safety and order during matches.
* Adhere to game times (1:00pm, 2:30pm, 4:00pm) and schedule across various locations.
* Choose preferred dates and locations as per availability.
* Ensure compliance with child protection and school policies.
* Document and report any incidents or game statistics as required.
Schedule and Compensation
* Monday to Friday; weekend availability optional
* Up to 10 hours per week
* Taxfree payment per game
* $40.00 per hour (attractive payment rates)
Qualifications
* 1 year of refereeing experience (preferred)
* Passion for basketball and child safety
* Good communication skills
