About The Role
We're seeking a Cook & Food Assistant to join our village team in a fixed-term contract until May 2026, combining weekend cooking with weekday kitchen support. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and meaningful work in a community setting.
This Is a Hybrid Role Across The Week
Saturday & Sunday | 7:00am – 2:00pm
Monday & Tuesday | 10:00am – 7:00pm
You'll work as the Cook, preparing nourishing, well-presented meals that meet residents' dietary needs and food safety standards.
You'll support the Cook as a Food Assistant, assisting with food preparation, service, and kitchen operations (Includes a break between 2:00pm – 3:00pm).
What You'll Do
* Prepare, cook and present quality meals on weekends
* Assist with food preparation, meal service and kitchen duties during the week.
* Maintain food safety, hygiene and WHS standards
* Support stock control, waste minimisation and smooth kitchen operations.
* Help create a welcoming dining experience for residents
About You
* Enjoy working in food service or hospitality environments
* Are reliable, organised and team-focused
* Take pride in quality, consistency and care
* Have food handling experience (preferred but not essential)
