About the Role
As a Senior M&A Lawyer, your role will include:
* Leading and managing complex domestic and cross-border M&A transactions.
* Advising clients on deal structures, regulatory compliance, due diligence, and risk mitigation.
* Negotiating and drafting transaction documents, including share purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, and shareholder agreements.
* Providing strategic advice to clients on corporate governance and restructuring matters.
* Mentoring and supervising junior lawyers, contributing to their development and the team's success.
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships to support business development efforts.
* There is a clear pathway for progression
About You
* Extensive Experience: Minimum 8+ years of post-qualification experience in M&A or corporate law, ideally from a leading firm or in-house legal team.
* Technical Expertise: Proven ability to handle complex transactions from inception to completion.
* Commercial Acumen: A strong understanding of market trends and the ability to deliver commercially sound advice.
* Leadership Skills: Experience mentoring teams and managing client relationships effectively.
* Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with an aptitude for clear, concise, and persuasive advice.
* Qualification: Admission as a lawyer in Australia or New Zealand
