About Us Patel Engineering Pty Ltd is an engineering and telecommunications services provider supporting network planning, infrastructure deployment, and technical consulting projects.
The business works with telecommunications infrastructure to support network expansion and system performance. Due to increasing project requirements, we are seeking a Telecommunications Network Planner to join our team and support network planning and infrastructure design activities. Location: Pakenham VIC 3810
Position: Telecommunications Network Planner – Full-Time Salary: $78,000 – $82,000 + Superannuation About the Role
The Telecommunications Network Planner will be responsible for planning and designing telecommunications network layouts, supporting infrastructure projects, and ensuring network systems are developed in line with operational and regulatory requirements. The role involves analysing network requirements, preparing technical plans, and coordinating with engineering and project teams. Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and design telecommunications network layouts and infrastructure. 2. Analyse network capacity, coverage, and performance requirements. 3. Prepare technical documentation, network plans, and system specifications.
4. Conduct site assessments and review infrastructure requirements for network installations. 5. Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and project teams during project development. 6. Support implementation of network expansion and system upgrades.
7. Monitor network performance and recommend improvements where required. 8. Ensure compliance with technical standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications. 9. Maintain accurate technical records and documentation.
10. Assist with troubleshooting and technical analysis of network issues. Skills & Experience 1. Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (as aligned with ANZSCO qualification requirements) or equivalent qualification.
2. Minimum one-two years of experience working in telecommunications planning, network design, or related engineering roles. 3. Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and network systems. 4. Ability to interpret technical diagrams, network plans, and engineering documentation.
5. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. 6. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. 7. Ability to manage multiple technical tasks and project requirements.
