Southpaws are looking for a Full-Time Receptionist to join our new team. Our team of highly skilled and compassionate veterinarians, nurses and support staff work together to deliver exceptional care to every patient and family they see. About you: You are a compassionate, customer-focused professional who brings warmth, resilience and attention to detail to everything you do. You're confident working both independently and as part of a close-knit team, and you communicate clearly and calmly even under pressure.
* Minimum 2+ years' experience in Reception or Customer Support
* Exceptional customer service skills and professional phone manner
* Strong time management and multitasking ability
* A polite, resilient and empathetic nature
* High attention to detail
* Confidence using initiative and problem-solving independently
* Willingness to get involved in all areas of the clinic
* An energetic, driven and team-oriented approach

* Delivering outstanding client care to patients and their owners
* Managing client enquiries professionally in person, by phone and via email
* Supporting the day-to-day appointment and admission schedule
* Completing general administration and clerical duties
* Taking payments, managing invoices and accounts
* Ensuring front-of-house areas are clean, organised and welcoming
* Assisting across different areas of the hospital as required
Rostering & Hours
* Full-time position
* 1 in 4 weekend rotation
* Our rosters are thoughtfully designed to support work–life balance, with longer shifts and fewer working days to maximise time off
