Job Opportunity: Casual Support Workers - Sunshine Coast - Immediate Start
Vibe Independence Disability Support is seeking passionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team on the Sunshine Coast. This is a casual position with specific shifts available in Caboolture, Petrie, and Lawnton, supporting individuals with disabilities aged 9 years and over 18. We are looking for compassionate individuals to provide person-centered care tailored to the unique needs of our participants.
**Position 1: Caboolture - Two Brothers (After School Care)**
- Number of Support Workers Needed: 1-2
- Participant Details: Two brothers, each with separate NDIS plans
- Role Details: Provide person-centered support to enhance independence and well-being
- Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM
- Diagnosis: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
**Position 2: Petrie - Female (Daytime Support)**
- Number of Support Workers Needed: 1
- Participant Details: A lovely female requiring manual handling and wound care (no personal care)
- Role Details: Provide support with manual handling and wound care, ensuring safety and comfort
- Hours: Wednesday and Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM (covering when regular support is unwell, with potential for more ongoing shifts)
- **Specific Requirements**:
- Must be female
- Must have a low car (no SUVs or 4x4 vehicles)
**Position 3: Lawnton - Male (Flexible Shifts)**
- Number of Support Workers Needed: 1
- Participant Details: A lovely male who is immunocompromised
- Role Details: Provide person-centered support, ensuring a scent-free environment to avoid health risks
- Hours: Potential shifts Monday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
- **Specific Requirement**: Must not wear cologne, perfumes, or any scented products to avoid making the participant unwell
**Key Responsibilities (All Roles)**:
- Deliver person-centered support to enhance participants' quality of life
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care (where applicable), meal preparation, and medication administration
- Facilitate community participation and social activities
- Promote independence and well-being
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
**Essential Requirements (All Roles, Strictly Enforced)**:
- Certifications (valid and current, or willingness to obtain):
- Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Yellow Card (NDIS Worker Screening Check)
- First Aid Certificate
- Qualification: Certificate III in Individual Support or related field (or willingness to obtain)
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Transportation: Reliable vehicle and a valid Australian Driver's License (low car required for Petrie role)
- **Specific Requirements**:
- Petrie: Must be female and must have a low car (no SUVs or 4x4 vehicles)
- Lawnton: Must avoid wearing cologne, perfumes, or scented products

- Availability: Must be available for an immediate start
