Reporting to the Team Leader – Allied Health Care, you will enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the delivery of Allied Health services to our Hervey Bay aged care customers either in their home or at our Hervey Bay venue.The role is available as a permanent full-time position (Monday to Friday), or permanent part-time position (minimum 3 days per week, and there is flexibility on days worked).
More about the roleUnder direction or supervision, you will:Be involved in delivering therapeutic individual or group programsAssist in the preparation for group programs and supervision of customersProvide general support to the Allied Health team including compilation of clinical and program materials and collection and maintenance of equipmentAssist in the preparation of assessment, treatment, and clinical processes for customersWork collaboratively with customers in their homes as they progress to meet their goalsWork independent and safely within the scope of AHA practice whilst being confident to refer customers back to the treating therapist when applicableWhat you will bring to our teamA Certificate III or IV in Allied Health AssistanceExperience in safely delivering massage therapy services, preferably to frail/aged customers, and supported by a massage therapy qualificationThe ability to work in a variety of community settings including with culturally diverse familiesEffective communication and interpersonal skills including active listening skills, the ability to establish rapport and maintain positive professional relationshipsDemonstrated ability to work independently, being task-oriented, non-judgmental, and have a clear sense of professional boundariesEffective time management skills and demonstrated ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlinesHigh level computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database managementValid Driver's Licence and willingness to use own insured vehicle for work purposes, and First Aid and CPR certificatesWhat we offerAt Suncare our people really are our greatest asset.
