Operational Manager
The Duty Manager role is a key opportunity to support the day-to-day operations of a venue, overseeing service and staff to ensure a great customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in meeting budget targets across all departments by effectively managing resources and maintaining high standards.
* Uphold strict cash-handling procedures and compliance with venue policies to maintain a secure environment.
* Ensure opening/closing procedures and maintenance schedules are followed to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
* Manage stock control, ordering, and receiving for cost efficiency and to meet customer demands.
* Support operational plans, seasonal strategies, and guest experience initiatives to drive business growth and satisfaction.
* Aid recruitment and onboarding to ensure adequate staffing during peak periods and maintain a positive team culture.
* Maintain clear communication between all departments for smooth operations and effective collaboration.
* Collaborate with Marketing on promotions, messaging, and community engagement to enhance brand awareness and loyalty.
* Organize customer entertainment (music, trivia, and other activations) ensuring smooth scheduling and execution to create memorable experiences.
* Track customer feedback and recommend improvements to drive continuous quality enhancement.
* Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented workplace culture that promotes employee well-being and job satisfaction.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a supervisory or management position in the hospitality industry.
* Strong leadership and team management skills to effectively lead and motivate teams.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
* A thorough understanding of food and beverage service standards to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
* Knowledge of safety and security protocols to maintain a secure environment.
* Proficiency in financial management and cash handling to ensure efficient and accurate financial processes.
* A passion for creating memorable and enjoyable experiences for customers.
* Responsible Service of Alcohol certification.
* Responsible Conduct of Gaming certification.
* Availability to work on nights, weekends, and public holidays as required.
