Exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join the Department of Health!

The Role:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Registered Nurse experienced in the administration of blood and blood products to join us as Registered Nurse - Transfusion. The role works closely with the CNC Patient Blood Management, supporting education of staff and consumers, reviewing blood and blood product safety events and auditing to meet the requirements of the Nationals Safety and Quality Healthcare Standards.
You will need:
* Demonstrated clinical competence in the area of blood product transfusion and patient blood management.
* Demonstrated ability to provide support to the CNC - Patient Blood Management in all aspects of transfusion and patient blood management.
* Sound understanding of the NSQHS Standard 7 and ability to support the CNC - Patient Blood Management in satisfying the necessary criteria to meet and maintain this standard.

Details of appointment:
Permanent part time, day worker position, working 38hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type
