PNAH Pty Ltd t/a Steelbot Fabrications in Wallan VIC is seeking a full‑time position to join our team, specialising in framing, installation, metal fabrication and welding services. This role plays a key part in supporting our manufacturing and production processes.

Salary of $77,000 to $87,000 + super for this full‑time position.
Responsibilities
* Shape, bend and form metal components using hand tools and powered equipment, including heating and hammering when required.
* Prepare materials by cutting, shaping, and setting up components to match required dimensions, using powered saws and other tools.
* Use angle grinders and related equipment to clean, smooth, and prepare surfaces prior to welding.
* Identify the most suitable welding techniques and equipment required for each job, based on project specifications.
* Accurately position and secure components using measuring tools such as rulers, calipers, and clamps to ensure correct alignment.
* Perform welding tasks using manual or semi‑automatic equipment across a range of positions, including horizontal, vertical, and overhead.
* Carry out repairs on machinery, structures, and metal components by welding, rebuilding parts, and filling gaps where needed.
* Maintain welding tools, machinery, and work areas in safe working condition, reporting any faults or hazards promptly.
* Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and measurements to plan work layouts and fabrication processes.
Qualifications
* AQF Certificate III in fabrication trade, or AQF Certificate IV.
Experience
* At least 1 year of experience as a Welder.
Essential Skills and Requirements
* Skilled in cutting, bending, and shaping steel parts to meet design requirements.
* Skilled in cutting, preparing, and setting up materials to the correct measurements using saws and other tools.
* Understanding of different welding techniques and the ability to choose the right method for each task.
* Experience in performing welding work using manual or semi‑automatic equipment in various positions.
* Ability to repair machinery and metal components by welding, rebuilding and filling gaps.
* Good attention to detail.
* Strong focus on accuracy, safety, and meeting quality expectations in day‑to‑day work.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure.
