GP Sales Representative role at Astra Zeneca.
The position covers the Western suburbs of Brisbane and involves collaborating with General Practitioners and Primary Health Care Practitioners to educate on approved indications, product efficacy and safety, and to support appropriate on‑label prescribing.

Our GP Sales Representatives partner with General Practitioners, Retail Pharmacies and allied staff, using data and digital tools to meet evolving healthcare needs.

What You'll Do
Successfully complete all training requirements, including product examinations and Medicines Australia (MA) qualification.
Demonstrate interpersonal effectiveness, results focus, collaboration, teamwork and leadership.
Engage primary care healthcare professionals in dialogue about approved indications and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on‑label prescribing for appropriate patients.
Work with the Sales Manager to develop a local strategy and business plan to meet or exceed sales and call execution goals in the territory.
Use data from multiple sources to build a view of customers – their needs and interests – supporting smart decisions to exceed sales targets.
Drive sales performance and ensure sales forecasts and assigned budgets meet or exceed therapeutic and territory expectations.
Develop and maintain in‑depth knowledge of market, demographic, and managed markets information relative to the assigned sales territory.
Follow all regulations regarding interactions with healthcare professionals, distribution of samples, and the Medicines Australia (MA) Code of Conduct.
Essential For The Role
Bachelor's degree (or other suitable qualification)
Prior selling experience and/or medical background
Interpersonal effectiveness, partnership, and leadership
The ability to plan and drive the business on the territory
Demonstrates a structured selling process to understand customer needs, listen, provide feedback, personalize messaging, and close with actions
Desirable for the role
Experience working in a digital environment and using data and touchpoints to support sales
Knowledge of disease, brand, and healthcare environment
