The Role
We are currently seeking a Senior Associate Engineer to join our Urban Infrastructure team in Brisbane. With a background in construction engineering, the successful candidate will focus on construction phase services including site supervision, project management, contract administration, quality management and coordinating across our client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain a high level of technical expertise, particularly with engineering and construction methods, materials, equipment, and techniques
* Pre‐empt and resolve on-site construction problems
* Strong client and stakeholder relationship management skills and understanding of their drivers
* Strong growth mindset and ability to train and mentor junior staff
* Monitor construction progress against program
* Approve payment of contractor's progress claims and contract variations up to specified limits
* Ensure the proper and accurate two‐way flow of information in relation to allocated projects
* Comply with the requirements outlined in the respective roles and responsibilities
* Proactively collaborate with team members, contributors, and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness, and coordination of project deliverables
About You
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent
* Minimum 10–15 years' Construction Engineering experience
* Urban, land development, roads and/or municipal project experience
* Must have a strong understanding of relevant Australian codes and standards
* Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
* Australian Driver's licence and white card
* Exposure to multi‐disciplinary design development and authority applications and approvals will be highly regarded
