Expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified and experienced Family Counsellors to join a community-focused organisation delivering counselling and support services in Geraldton. This position offers flexibility, with both full-time (38 hours per week) and part-time (minimum 25 hours per week) opportunities available.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver counselling services to individuals, couples, and families within the Geraldton community.
* Facilitate community education initiatives and outreach activities.
* Support clients through assessment, referral, and connection to appropriate services.
* Promote positive wellbeing outcomes through a client-centred and strengths-based approach.
Essential Qualifications
* Formal qualification in a relevant Social Services field.
* Current registration with a relevant professional body (for counselling), or the ability to obtain registration.
Selection Criteria
* Experience providing counselling services to individuals and families, including referral and support coordination.
* Experience in mental health education is desirable but not essential.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Sound computer and information technology skills.
* Ability to engage with clients in a welcoming, neutral, impartial, and non-judgmental manner.
* Commitment to working within the values and ethos of a community-focused service organisation.
Remuneration and Benefits
* SCHADS Award 2010 classification, Level 4.1 to Level 5.3, dependent on qualifications and experience.
* Hourly rate ranging from $44.58 to $53.31, plus superannuation.
