About the Opportunity
We are seeking highly motivated Assistant Managers to join our Program Design, Delivery, Policy and Technology teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team that may be geographically dispersed, including establishing expectations, scheduling and reviewing work, providing clear and consistent communications and developing capability.
* Assess and manage risk, including escalating issues that may affect delivery, resourcing or timelines.
* Keep senior staff informed and provide strategic advice and solutions based on good judgment and an understanding of priorities.
* Use several internal systems and tools, ensuring input of quality information and data.
Team Alignments
* Program Design and Delivery teams: lead and support the development, delivery and/or management of public-facing government programs according to legislative requirements, guidelines, performance standards and governance frameworks.
* Technology team: lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the on-boarding of both internal and external grant programs and services onto the Business Grants Management System (BGM).
* Policy team: lead and contribute to strategic policy projects, including providing advice relating to grants policy across government.
