Smart AVR is a fast-growing, Australia-wide automotive service provider with multiple workshops across the country. Due to continued growth at our Nerang site, we are seeking an organised, proactive Workshop Advisor / Controller to become a key part of our team.
About the Role
This is a hands‐on, fast‐paced role that sits at the heart of our workshop operations. You will be the main point of contact between customers, technicians, and management, ensuring the smooth daily running of the workshop.
Key Responsibilities
Answering and managing incoming phone calls and customer enquiries
Booking vehicles in for servicing, repairs, and diagnostics
Preparing job cards, allocating work, and scheduling technicians' daily workloads
Coordinating workflow to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and on time
Invoicing completed jobs and processing payments
Liaising with technicians regarding job progress, parts requirements, and timeframes
Ordering parts and following up on deliveries where required
Maintaining accurate records and workshop systems
Providing a high level of customer service and clear communication
Assisting with general workshop administration and organisation
About You
Previous experience in an automotive workshop environment is highly desirable
Mechanical or technical automotive knowledge is preferred but not essential
Strong organisational and time‐management skills
Confident phone manner with excellent communication skills
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
High attention to detail and strong administrative skills
Comfortable using computer systems and workshop management software
A positive, team‐focused attitude with a problem‐solving mindset
