* Job Description
This Lecturer - Construction Management position requires an individual with a strong passion for education and research. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students, as well as conducting research that contributes to the advancement of knowledge in the field of construction management.
You will have the opportunity to design and develop learning activities and resources, assess student learning achievements, and provide feedback using a range of suitable approaches and learning environments. Your teaching philosophy should inspire student learning and encourage them to reach their full potential.
In addition to teaching and research responsibilities, you will also be expected to engage in professional development in pedagogy, disciplinary knowledge, and minimum professional accreditation requirements. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental goals and contribute to the development of applications for competitive funding.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A PhD in Construction Management or a closely related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
* Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments in Construction Management, with a particular focus on smart and sustainable construction.
* Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design, development, and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level in Construction Management.
* Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online / dual-mode delivery methods.
* Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence (e.g. relevant discipline based curriculum design and development at a variety of levels and scales).
* Demonstrated knowledge of the construction management industry or experience of work-integrated learning.
* Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
* Demonstrated track record in research with outcomes and publications of high quality and high impact with clear evidence of the desire and ability to continually achieve research excellence as well as the capacity for research leadership.
* A track record of significant involvement with the construction management profession, industry, and/or community organisations.
* High-level communication skills and ability to network effectively and interact with a diverse range of students and staff.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines, and build effective relationships.
