Job Title: Senior Project Coordinator
The primary function of the Senior Supervisor is to oversee the execution of contracted civil construction projects. This involves managing site operations, coordinating daily activities, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
* Implement safe working practices while maintaining high-quality standards.
* Interpret issued construction drawings, documentation, and changes effectively.
* Lead and manage teams, providing regular progress reports to senior management.
* Identify and mitigate risks/hazards, promoting a culture of zero harm.
* Report all potential risks according to client and company policies.
* Liaise with clients to ensure job satisfaction and maintain ongoing relationships.
* Recruit and train site employees, conducting interviews, phone screens, or inductions as required.
* Provide leadership, direction, and support to employees, training new hires closely.
* Address internal and external complaints, resolving interpersonal issues.
* Ensure accurate completion and submission of daily worksheets & diaries.
* Participate actively in regular toolbox meetings.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant certifications, experience in senior roles, and a strong understanding of civil engineering construction practices.
Additional requirements include Section 44 training & certification, Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor training and certification, and formal qualifications in Project Management, OHS, or similar fields.
Experience in road infrastructure, bulk earthworks, and civil construction projects in a mining environment is essential, with an advantage in reinforced earth and mechanically stabilized earth retaining walls.
