Shipbuilding Career Pathways
This program offers nationally accredited training, awarding you a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical upon successful completion.
* Manufacturing Parts: Creating components from raw materials using lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines.
* Reading Drawings: Interpreting engineering plans, blueprints, and specifications.
* Precision Work: Performing highly accurate measurements and fitting parts to tight tolerances (e.g., *********mm).
* Assembly Fitting: Assembling, fitting, and installing mechanical equipment and components.
* Maintenance Repair: Servicing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment.
You will be supported by a dedicated supervisor and gain access to a team of professionals as well as support mechanisms provided by relevant authorities.
This career pathway involves hands-on training in various aspects of shipbuilding, including manufacturing, reading drawings, precision work, assembly fitting, and maintenance repair. Throughout your journey, you will develop the skills and knowledge required to succeed in this field.
