Key to our company's success is the expertise of our Roasting and Quality Manager. This crucial role plays a vital part in ensuring every cup of coffee that leaves our roasting facility meets exceptional quality standards.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of coffee production, including roasting operations and quality assurance. Strong leadership skills are essential for guiding team members across roasting and quality operations, as well as owning roasting schedules and green bean inventory management at the site.
Responsibilities include:
* Lead and train team members in roasting and quality processes
* Develop and manage roasting schedules and green bean inventory at the site
* Champion quality control processes, including tastings, cuppings, grading and reporting
* Oversee roasting plant performance and develop preventative maintenance plans
* Troubleshoot equipment issues and manage external technical relationships
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including coffee, operations and commercial teams
Requirements:
* At least 5 years' experience in coffee or related production/quality roles
* Proven track record in roasting operations and quality assurance
* Strong understanding of green bean handling, equipment maintenance and supply planning
* Experience working with preventative maintenance and continuous improvement tools
