We're thrilled to announce a new opportunity within our Aged Care Assessment Services ('ACAS') team. ACAS positions offer flexibility and autonomy and are based across both metropolitan and regional locations, with most roles involving local travel within each region and wider travel throughout the aged care planning region (accommodation provided as required).
What will your role look like? As an Assessor you'll be out and about in your Region visiting and completing Residential Aged Care (RAC) Funding Assessments using the AN-ACC Assessment Tool.
Day to day this includes: Assessments for new residents, respite care, reconsideration and palliative AN-ACC assessment.
To be successful in this role you'll need:
* A current RAC Funding Assessor accreditation (unrestricted ideally)
* A genuine passion for the elderly
* A tertiary qualification in a health related discipline with the relevant current and unrestricted AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse, Medical Officer, Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with 5 years experience delivering clinical services in an aged care setting
* Demonstrated knowledge of the Aged Care Act, AN-ACC Classification principles and Quality of Care principles
* The ability to work autonomously in a geographically dispersed team while maintaining focus
* To be technologically savvy
* A current unrestricted NSW/ACT Drivers licence with access to a reliable motor vehicle
* Willingness to apply for a Police Check
